For the past fifteen years, about a third of HIM SA’s activity has been represented by EU funded projects in the area of eHealth and eInclusion. These projects have addressed the full chain of services from the development phase, funded under the Framework Programmes for Research and Technical Development, to the market validation and initial deployment phases funded under the eTen and, more recently, the Competitiveness and Innovation Programmes and a good deal of services so developed and validated are today provided by HIM SA and its partners as part of their routine delivery of services.
Partners in these projects cover a broad spectrum of organisations from large multinational companies to SMEs, from Academia to health and social care providers, from professionals’ to users’ associations. These projects vary in EU funding from roughly 1 to 8 million Euros and in duration from 18 to 42 months.
Leveraging its extensive know-how of the EU funding programs combined with deep expertise in eHealth and eInclusion, HIM SA is specialised in the management of large multi-cultural Consortia to which it offers:
- Conceiving project ideas in line with the objectives of the various EU Programmes and preparation of proposals in response to Calls for Proposals by the European Union, and by national governments
- Project Management for large projects, including co-ordination of partners from different countries and cultures, and liaison with the European Commission
- Consortia building through an extensive network of connections with business partners from various European countries with whom HIM has established excellent personal and business relationships
- Development of business plans for the commercialisation of project results
